Greyson: 5 months

Five months sure sneaked up quickly! I feel like I just wrote the 4 month post. Greyson is still growing like a weed and becoming more and more fun. He has started to get so much more interactive this month. One of my favorite things he has started doing recently is laughing and smiling at Asher. It's so precious to see that they already love eachother. Asher loves Greyson so much and it's pretty clear that Greyson knows and loves Asher. He smiles and coos at him and laughs when Asher is silly to him. I am so excited to see what great friends they become.

Greyson has not started any solids yet but will probably start on rice cereal this month. So far he hasn't been interested but I don't think it will be long. He is rolling and wiggling all over the place. The funny part is he still hardly rolls from tummy to back but rolls back to tummy almost immediately when we lay him down. He has also realized month that he can roll to get to the things that he wants. He has also discovered his feet and loves to pull his toes into his mouth. He pretty much loves anything in his mouth right now but always seems to have his fingers in there or is trying to munch on ours. With all the chomping and drooling I don't think it will be too long before we start to see some teeth coming through.

We pulled out the excersaucer this month and while it took a little time to get used to, he seems to like it these days. As long as he can still see us he will play in there for a little while. He has really started to notice when we are not around and hates to be left alone. When he wakes up for a bottle in the middle of the night I have to bring him back to our room and lay him with Tim while I get the bottle. If I try to leave him in his room in the crib after I go in to give him his binky he really gets mad. He loves to lay next to us and hold our hands to his cheek. It's pretty sweet how he calms down just knowing we are there with him.

He usually just wakes up once in the night to eat and gets up for the day at about 6 or 6:30. He still usually only naps for 30 minutes at a time, unless he is being held, but will occasionally take a nice long nap in his crib. We will be starting some sleep training this month so I'm hopeful that will help with the short naps.

We sure love our sweet Greyson and love watching him grow and learn new things. I'm so grateful to be his mom :)
